Now, some of the Give-a-ways will be for any reader, regardless of where in the world you live, some will be for N.A. and some will be Canada only and one or two might even be pickup only.
“this was a basket of goodies I did up for a dear friend last year, it just gives a idea of what some of my homemade soaps, and salves would look like.. “
Having said that, I will do my best to keep the playing field as level as possible and I will “try” to get the little gifts out within a reasonable time frame 🙂
The rules are going to be dead simple, if you want in on the draw, comment! If you comment on the Give-A-Way post, you are entered, but! if you comment on other posts though out the month, you will get one extra ticket in the draw.
This is a way to say give a little extra thank you to my regular readers that interact with me, you make my day, sometimes a little comment or question is just the most perfect thing for me to get, so I want to give a little bit back on that.
PS, all things given will be made or grown or harvested or bought by me, all things given will be shipped at the most reasonable costs possible.
However, you only get one extra for the month, not one extra for each comment 🙂
No one can win more then three times during the year, and you can’t win more often then once every three months, so as an example, if queen wins month one, even if she comments on month two or three, she won’t be able to win until the next quarter.
Now if you enter and win, be aware you have to be willing to give me your name and mailing address to get it to you 🙂
So stay tune for the first announcement coming in for the Jan 2014 give-a- way!

Very nice! You have some lovely things in the picture.
thanks Karla
that was a gift basket I did up for a dear friend last year, it gives a idea of some of things that might be coming, I know that at least a few of the gifts will be homemade soap 🙂
You are very generous! Your soaps are much more exciting than mine. I have just made plain goat’s milk using used oil from a local restaurant. It’s almost free, but not as pretty as yours.
Thanks Ann, almost free is a very good thing, and learning how to make good quality milk soaps is a challenge and talent all in itself, good for you!
Do you have a step by step article on making soap for a newbie?
Step by step, not yet, I have shared recipes but not each step, there are so many good site that have that already, and in truth, I think its better for just starting to get a good solid basic book and read it though once before making soap.
Making soap is on the 2014 todo list. Can’t wait for your step by step how to’s. Especially the coffee soap
Ok I will do my best to do a step by step on a couple soaps but I am going to also list some sites that have written out all the basic’s on cold process soap, but I will do my best to give the rock solid basic rules 🙂
The coffee scrub soap is a very popular one, everyone who has tried it, just loves it! I will be adjusting the oils just a tad from the old recipe and will give the reason’s at that time, its always a learning curve.
Fantastic. With a house filled with a new born and sensitive skinned wife and son, I’m ready to give soap making a fair shake. Plus it would be a great addition to my homemade gift baskets.
Ah, in that case, you want the baby soap.. good to know, I have just the recipe for you!
Awesome. Thanks for sharing. Very thoughtful and kind of you. I look forward to making my first batch.
wow what a lovely idea
thanks, it just seemed like a good idea, I am so grateful for what the blog and the readers bring to my world, just seems right to give back!
I’ll be watching for that baby soap recipe…or giveaway 🙂
Okely dokely FG!
Nice picture too – that sure is some LUCKY friend: )
haha, which ones was some of your favorite’s when it came to the differnet soaps or salves..
Oh geez, what a question! I think the coffee soap is my favourite. It makes a nice lather, gets the tough stuff out after gardening and your skin feels just amazing afterward: )
What a thoughtful, generous person you are Farmgal!
I also look forward to the baby soap ‘how-to’. I’m going to take the plunge and try making soaps this year……..all thanks to you.
