Do you grow herbs in the garden? if so do you make your own tea’s, I find the best one to start one with is of course Mint.. can you think of anything more simple to grow, harvest, dry and then pop in boiling water to steep for a number of minutes.. Do you use a tea ball? or do you buy paper tea bags that you can fill yourself, or do you have one of those fancy pots that has a built in loose herb middles or are you a purest, do you just go full loose leaf?

thanks I forgot to get the lid in the photo, its a lovely persion kitty cat, it was a gift and its always been one of my favorites, it makes a perfert two cups of tea, just right for one in the morning 🙂
French press would work very well..
LOL! Mint is the most generous of plants and tea-making’s only one way to keep it under control… Have you ever made your own mint sauce to go with all of that lovely lamb? At roughly 5$ for a 500ml bottle, it’s a great investment for half an hour’s work. My first ever, experimental batch was SO simple; the 4 x 500ml jars, went straight into the fridge and still taste wonderful all these months later: )
Chives (http://www.pfaf.org/user/Plant.aspx?LatinName=Allium+schoenoprasum) are my personal favourite for easiest herbs to grow; first up in the spring and last to go, come fall. They’re offspring from my parent’s clump – which had originally come from our friends’ garden, already a Century Farm in 1967, Canada’s Centennial year. Oh, and about your teapot question? “ShortRound” has a removeable mesh basket nesting in the top of the pot and was a Mother’s Day gift many years ago.

I use both a tea ball and a French press. I grew an apple mint this year that is fantastic as tea! I need to plant more of it to keep up with my winter tea addiction.
Chocolate mint tea….. yum. Never thought of the French press idea. Genius.
