Homemade Special Treats for the Cow/Horse/Sheep

I am busy making a number of Christmas treats for the different critters on the farm and I thought I would post how I am making them..so this is the cow/horse/sheep treats..

so I mixed up some finely chopped oats, some high protein/alphfa feed, scratch, molassies, 2 quarts of home canned crabapple/wild apple sauce, fresh grated carrots and warm water, they are being mixed till they will form balls, then stuffed into the steel cupcake pan, frozen and then I will do a quick run of hot water on the back and pop them out, I have made enough for five or six dozen of them to be made, they will be handed out for christmas treats.

* If you get tired of just freezing them, you can add a bit more warm water, mix it into balls and bake them off as well.

I love your recipe for cow treats but the only mention of a measurement is the 2 quarts of apple sauce ??? Could you let me me know the other measurements please.
    Thanks

    • Hi Bev, I had to go read the post, there was no measurements, I just filled a big tub with the list, added the apple sauce and then mixed it together, I either added more dry to get it to be the right wetness to make cupcakes or I added a touch of water to make it wetter. .I am sorry that I can’t give measurements, it was more make it by feel in that way then a recipe.
