Well, more like Chicken Laying tub.. I have bought a number of fruit tree’s over the years and they come in some fairly large black plastic tubs, and as I am the queen of reuse.. I have a nest box that Dear Hubby Built me years ago, and it has four nest box’s but it was not quite enough and they are not big enough for my duck hens to lay in, so I had read that you could put box’s up higher for the duck hens then normally for chickens so I followed the height given in my raising ducks book and put up two big black nest buckets, well, the ducks like them but the chickens love them! While some hens still lay in the offical nest box’s at the correct chicken height, more then half of them perfer the raised buckets..  Certainly alot cheaper then the cost of wood these days.

This morning does not know what its doing, it started out raining, moved to hail, then to snow and now back to sunshine the only thing that stayed the same was the bitter wet wind, I was out working in the first three, the sun came out after I was back in for breakfast..

Which was a nice two egg scramble with fresh mushrooms, herbs with a little old chedder, and half a pint of my home canned locally grown peaches. This meal is a perfect example of tricking the mind.. you can see by this picture that it appears that the is tons of food on this plate.. and that is the whole point.
