Soup and Stew Eye Candy

I was admiring some photos I have taken of different soups and stews and decided to just share a post of photos, boy do i like to serve them with buns, baking powder biscuits  or dumplings. I just loved all the colors and richness of these heaping bowls of healthy goodness.

Cold winter days just beg for a pot of soup or stew to simmer away..

Later today, I will be making a rich bone broth based pork stew, sharing with you my already made delightful ham bone and bean soup, and a nice rabbit dish and I have everything out, and thawing to make a amazing Swedish meatballs in milk gravy with mashed a little later this week.

    Wow! They ARE all beautiful.
I’m totally LOVIN’ that gorgeous, fat dumpling at the end. Hmm… Yup, definitely gotta do that today!!; )

You need to do a cookbook just on Soups & Stews! I agree with Deb, your dumplings look amazing! I’ve never had good luck at dumplings, they just come out like bread mush.

    • I will do a step by step for the dumplings for you all and there is exciting news on the cookbook front coming

      • Sheri says:

Wonderful! I’m looking forward to it! I was thinking about your cookbook idea and was thinking that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a “series” of books: breads, meats, soups, desserts. Then after you publish those you can do the next set called “More” Soups & Stews Volume 2.

      • o goodness, no.. I am struggling to wrap my head around the idea of one cookbook.. do not even think about a series.. when would I hve time garden or ride or can.. gulp

      • Deb Weyrich-Cody says:

Ha! LOL, d’you need an agent, FG? Sheri sounds like she’d do a bang-up job!!; )
