Pea Season has arrived.. well the first crop anyway..

The early planted pea’s are in full swing at this point in time.. so so yummy, I planted four different kinds this year.. so far, I am really liking this one..

I expect that almost all of these ones will end up being eaten fresh with a few being allowed to go to the dry stage for seed stock for next year.

Out of all my pretty white flowering pea vines, I have one purple/pink vine, I am for sure going to keep seed from it and see if I can get more of these o so pretty pea plants.

So how many pea’s do you plant, do you many do them for fresh eating or do you freeze pea’s for winter use, I will admit that I do a few but not many, I find pea’s in winter are a real treat in our house.

Lol, just getting them as far as the house is a challenge, never mind the freezer; )
Oh say! How’s her scent? Might she be a wayward Sweet Pea, your lovely blossom? Speaking of scent and Sweet Peas, did you know that perennial sweet peas don’t have any – scent, I mean – only the annual variety is really sweet; )

  2. that one really looked so nice to eat..peas don’t grow well in our location…
