Ah, SO many things that could inspire horsey-type “worry”.
Looks like the weather wasn’t too bad?
Hope you both had a great time!

    • It was good but what it really taught me was a very simple lession.. Brandy is a very good horse, I am not a bad rider, get on her and ride.. I don’t need a clinic for basic’s, we both have them, I don’t need to pay someone to tell me how to do things (sometimes that I agree with, and other times perhaps not as much), what I in fact need to do, is get on and ride!

So that is just what I did this morning, I did a little ground work, I tacked her up, got up on her with no help, did basic riding/training and then I herded sheep, collected them, and then moved them from pasture to pasture.. it was a hoot, and it let both Brandy and myself trust each other and learn to do small movements and bigger movements, got rid of straight line riding and went back to pasture/trail riding, I took her though gates, around ponds, between buildings, up and down hills and into and out of slews/mud, and even on a little bush between riding.. it was awesome.. and because I had to focus on the sheep flock and pushing/releasing pressure on them, I didn’t have time to focus as much on her, I just let myself really ride and that she would do her part and I would do mine, the fact that it went as smoothly as it did, showed that she also trusted me back.. (picture me with a huge grin and a whooot!!)
