Hello Folks,
First up on Nov No Buy Week old is a poll for my readers?! I have never done a poll on the blog before but I have lots of first planned for the blog and my life in 2019. So I asked hubby and he said.. why don’t you poll your readers and let them decide.
I have a scene card that is linked to my one bank account that gives me “points” that can be redeemed for movie tickets. The new movie about Freddie is coming out Nov 1st and a few of my girlfriend are planning a movie night out to go watch it at some point in the next two weeks.ย I will admit to wanting to go.
Going to the movies is a straight up NO in regards to spending money on No Buy Nov!
However being a somewhat clever girl I said.. what about points.. I have already earned them, they are just sitting there? if I go to the movie and do not buy any goodies or go out before or after with the girls, I think I can use them..
So I will give it over to you my dear readers.. vote in the poll and I will follow the outcome.. The poll votes will count for the first 72’s of voting.
I might be reaching on this one.. lol..
We do No Spend Months regularly. For us, No Spend means not spending money, but technically, you’re not spending money if the credit already exists. It’s a freebie.
Correct, its not spending cash, its spending points.. ok so you are voting Freebie. ๐
Go!! Thatโs going to be an awesome movie – points arenโt spending ๐
Ok, that’s the second one for points are not spending ๐
Use your points. It is like found money.A night out with the girls is priceless.
Thanks Suzanne, one more Yes use them vote ๐
Hells yes! That what points are for!
LOL, ok Heather is a strong yes ๐ Thanks for taking the time to let me know..
cash is CA$H. Bucks, dollars, quarters, dimes, nickles and even pennies count as CA$H !!
The point is, points are freebies, but CA$H usually involves work, barter, or bicker, it’s seldom free.
Fair enough.. ๐
I’m kinda hoping you can find enough cash down the back of the couch to go for drink with the girls afterwards, too! ๐ ๐
now that’s not allowed.. if I use any cash, I really will have broken the rules. Sometimes my friends try and tell me that if they buy me a drink or a coffee that its ok, but I am normally not really even ok with that.. I am allowed to bring my own snack or food with me from home. Normally my rule is if I go to someone’s house and they offer me a coffee or tea or whatever I can say yes, because you would do that on a normal month, so I see no reason you can not do that on a no buy month.. so the only time I “let” my friends do the let me buy it, is if we already have a regular, I treat, you treat in place.. but if its a friend that I always buy my own.. then that does not work for me.. But its a kind thought Nicola
That’s a ‘yes’ for me too. This is a movie I’m looking forwaed to seeing too. ๐
i think its going to wonderful and I have a feeling that it should be seen on the big screen at least once ๐
Not buying anything, so not a purchase
I would spend your points. It’s purchasing something with something you already have. And I don’t know about the scheme you use, but for several schemes here in the UK points have to be redeemed anyway within a certain time period or they expire. So I would use them. No buying snacks though! Bring drinks and snacks from home!
thank you for your thoughts, it sounds like its overwhelmingly a yes I can use the points to go.. I do agree with you.. no going out before or after and no buying anything extra at the show.. only allowed what I can bring from home ๐
