I came home yesterday after a health treatment (which while I know it was a good thing, lets me more sore afterwards then before.. ouch!) and was greeted with this picture of everyone resting together, napping and chewing cuds in the mid-afternoon sun relaxing by the hay feeder.. Its so nice to see them bonding, Girl is going to be very lonely when I take away Marty as they groom and sleep with each other all the time but this gives me hope that Girl and Brandy will bond as the two keepers.

Farmgal Rant..
I am sorry to have this rant, I might not even post this.. I most likely will and I am sure I will lose a reader or two.. but I have to write this.. If you live in an apartment or a tiny condo in the city, you can be many things.. You can be […]
I Yield I Yield LOL
Ok, its just going on record that we are going to be “in just in time mode” on most things this year. Let me give a example.. we have pulled at least a hundred or two wild parsnips but then we needed to focus on this or that.. and suddenly this week, we are like.. […]

Great picture. Hope you are feeling better.
Would like to say that I am, and in truth the answer is yes, but its one of those, got this better to the point you can deal with the next issue and that’s great for the long haul view but not so good on the short term while you deal with the pain of getting that back into the right place, I find it always takes a couple days after to really start to feel a major improvement anyway..
I know, you already know this so just say “Yes Mom!” (and don’t forget the eye roll; ), but are you doing your Epsom salts baths and drinking lots of water?
Plants for bruising…

No soaking baths as we don’t have the well water for it, so good salt foot soaks yes, proper baths, no.. hot showers only and even then fairly quick.. but do have ice an heat rubs and heating pads etc.
As for the water, yes, do by best to keep up on that..
maybe I sneak off and have a soak at the hottub at the local pool, bet that would feel really great!
Whirlpool soak? NOW you’re talkin’!
It’s sad for everybody when a member goes missing…
I hear you Deb but its just a part of farm life, not everyone can stay.. Still it was the first time I say them all resting together, and Brandy was sleep/dreaming, right down to the little horse knickers etc, I have seen dogs do that but never a horse before. so cute..
Yeah I know that (didn’t mean only the four-footed everybody) reality bites.
