She is a seven year old mixed draft mare.. the logical side of me can list you her pro’s and con’s and I will most likely do a post on her, in fact as the next week or two will be a trial period, I imagine that I will be doing a fair number of posts on her.
However for today, I am just going with my gut and heart.. which both want me to take this chance and Go! for it.

What a beautiful animal! I’m sure you’re gonna have a blast integrating her into your menagerie on the farm. Enjoy!
I am looking at it as a wonderful challange to get to bond, work with and train her while she does the same with me..
She is a beautiful horse but she doesn’t look very happy. Hopefully she will take to her new owner and home.
Hi Verla, She is a lovely, but I don’t think that the looks will change much, these photos were taken in her pasture, she was comfortable and relaxed around us, she was excited to see us and was very pleased and interested in pats, and apples/grass etc.
Wow! I know you should never judge a horse on looks… but she is lovely
I know, I am working hard to keep looking at her from a “thoughtful” way part of the reason I didn’t want to meet her in person, until we were sure that it was a possablity and had the basic’s figured out, but when I saw her, she just made this old heart do a pit-pat, having said that, if she didn’t have a good temperment, she would have quickly become a, pretty is as pretty does horse, which means I might like to look at them but would never want to live with or work with them..
She is a very sweet, calm and steady girl from what I can see.. and yes, I think she also has some really nice “wow” factor as well!
Horsey smell,
Breath of hay,
Soothing squeak of leather…
Perhaps she’s done a double-dip
Of mallow fluff ‘n licorice?
(LOVE those socks and feathers; )
Whicker, whicker; snuffle snort
Velvet soot, butterscotch blaze,
A little someone’s finger trips
A tiny trail across her nose…
Birdie’s dandy
Fine glass of Brandy
Lovely eyes, liquid soft
Went’n stole FarmGal’s heart.
I like her. :o)
Yup, yup. Hope it goes well! Her back’s a little long, but she’s nicely muscled, nice straight legs, and a good high wither so saddles won’t do that nasty slip ‘n’ roll thing. Plus, such a pretty color, and she has a kind eye. Have fun!
Hi Kodi
Thanks for the impute, I will but I had to laugh this morning, between the two extra walks, working with the horse and helping catch the piglets for sexing on top of regular farm chores, and I am feeling it this morning, got to love it when you body says.. Hey, that was a heck of a workout lady, when in fact, it was fun and didn’t seem like a workout in anyway while doing it.
Oh, Miss Piggy finally dropped? Excellent! How many did she have then? (Been so excited about the horsey news, that I totally forgot; )
Nope, she is still growing bigger, she is slowed down a bit, and we are still waiting, o the joys of not knowing when a girl has been breed, thank goodness I have the breeding date for the cow, or I think I would drive myself into the Aww moment trying to check and recheck..
She’s lovely, congratulations.
Thanks, can’t wait to get to spend some time with her..
I’m a bit of a sucker for big horses and big dogs! Feel the envy pouring through the page :-). She looks lovely and like she might be of some practical use as well as being very pretty and fun to ride about on.
