Wow, that’s all just for two people? I have so under planted!
Mostly for 2 folks, in some cases, some things have been done for a “I hope” 2 year catch up supply being done, some things are underplanted as they are for fresh eating mainly (melons) some things are under planted because I have canned goods on them that need to be used up, and some things are overplanted because its not just us but also for the farm critter use..
Expamples, I will be planting even more sqaush/pumpkins, beets and turnips but a percent of those will go to the critters as winter feed/fall flushing/or pig finishing to help create a farmgal flavour on her meat..
Given the size of your family however , if you are just wanting to fresh summer eat and fall eat with a bit of winter put away, I would say what I have done so far would work fine for that, however if you want fresh eating, fall eating plus a full winter/spring till the next season has arrived, then I would be planting far more then I have to make that happen.. you don’t have as long of a season as I do, so alot of my stagger plantings that are coming, would not work for you, what is your average for growing days?
Holy Smoke! This is awesome!!
