Hmm, just out to do a bit more chores, and will be out again a few more times today, no doubt.. and noticed as I was doing birds chores that the duck flock was scrabbling over something in their pen.. turns out it was a rat that the cats must have caught and brought up to show off their prize, well the ducks were doing their billed best to eat it, and I stood for a bit watching, they are in fact eating it.. Their feeder still had duck ration/scatch in it, and I topped it up, so its not that they were hungry..

Now if this was the chickens I would not be surprised at all but for some reason the ducks do… now if these was a hertiage tomato.. it would be a normally sight indeed.. the ducks are tomato addicts… can’t blame them, the flavor in the old breeds of tomato’s is amazing!
