It looks like pyracantha. We have tons of it…lots of thorns and the birds love it!

A type of Sea Buckthorn? Fruit grows tight to the stem and, around here at least, you see them growing everywhere under the hydro lines (as bird donations?; ) and the berries can be a pale to golden-orange that almost glows from within. That one’s really gorgeous!
If they are related, they’re grown commercially in BC (where theirs are supposedly The Best; ) and sold as a Vit C-rich Super Food.
Not too keen on the glyphosate recommendations here, but a good article otherwise: http://www.saskfruit.com/studentwebsites/Seabuckthorn%20Widdup/grower/index.html
And, of course, good ole PFAF…

Gorgeous photos! Enjoy your holiday !!

    • I thought buckthorn myself when I saw it but its not quite right but could indeed be in the family!

Have they been frozen yet (up there, most likely, eh?; ) ‘Cause they all say the same thing as for Mountain Ash and a lot of other fruit – less acidic after frosted/frozen…
Glad you’re having fun – hug for your Mum: )
