I have to admit that I am really! feeling the call of the tattoo these days, I have three tattoos on this body of mine and each one marks a important part of my life, even where they are on my body was picked for a very personal reason..
On my ankle is a two headed snake as the circle of life (and also my base animal based on my birth) with the inner showing me being one with earth, air, water, an fire..
Years later, crawling half way up my other leg is a ying/yang turtle as I found balance in my life..
A few years after that I lost my daughter, and shortly after that I got my angel baby tattoo over my heart, and I had a tattoo planned after that but it just never seemed like the right time to me.. Then I had an lost my son and somehow because I had one for Maeve, it was somehow talked that I should have one for him and that didn’t feel right for me, or perhaps I have just never found the right tattoo or reached the right point in my life..
The last year I started noticing every parlor, and I started drawning and looking at the magazines, and I knew that one would be coming in my future, as it was the same feelings of needing to mark a turnpoint in my life, I am still not sure what it will be but I know that its coming..

Just another Day on the Farm 
I have 3 and working on the design for my 4th. A phoenix for managing to survive, a wizard to remind me that I have the power to change, a poppy and the words “Lest we Forget” for an uncle & the others that gave so much.
The one I have been trying to design is for family. So far all I have figured out is a DNA strand, a paint palette for mom, a history book for my dad, veggies for my grandfather and some of the family names.
Thanks for sharing, its never easy to find or figure out just what to get, but its always a good idea to take your time and get what you want, as once there, its really there but for alot of work..
I have to say, I’ve never been tempted. When I first saw the post title, I figured you were getting a tattoo gun for identifying your animals. *blush*
Well, I do have one of those as well, or a version of it, I have the stamp tattoo gun that you put the numbers/letters in and then put the ink on and punch the ears for pigs, sheep etc, not a proper tattoo gun that would be used for these kind of tattoos..
