Burrrrrr! I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with this. For as far north that I am, I’m very moderate and this last winter I didn’t see a single snow flake. Expecting a lot of lightning and possibly a gully-washer later in the afternoon. I worked in the garden all day yesterday turning compost heaps and digging that last horseradish out. Mercy I’ll have horseradish popping up the rest of my days!
Its a very brisk -27 when wind chill is added in and trust me today, wind chill is everywhere but in the barns or the house, I was a wuss and I refuse to use the cloths line today, it can wait a day when it will warm back up to single minus digits..
My garden has melted down about two feet or so in the last two weeks but its still so frozen and covered its not even funny
And yes, you will on the horse radish, every itty bitty root will make a new one 🙂
So, now I’m going to be chasing down horseradish and horse tail ferns! Well, I do love horses and maybe this is “The Big Spirit in the Sky’s” way of making ownership happen!
