Just touching in, things are crazy busy.. but good.. its all good.. all morning , the hounds are going crazy as everyone drives up and then turns around at either my lane or Farmer T’s
The view from my deck.. that’s is three fields worth of floodout before it currently is lapping into my own yard.. That one goes two fields over till it hits the creek..
The View from the main garden..Same, but even bigger fields and its three fields over till it come up to the river..
Thank goodness for the sump pump! so far the house is dry..
My goodness, is that from spring melting?
Yes, we had rain for a number of hours yesterday and the ground is still frozen so its all just sitting on top at this time..
Wow! That’s a lot of water.
Yup, I would be just fine with it going no further and starting to go down
hopefully it kindly fertilizes the ground for you as flood are apt to do, right? very nice of it to drop nutrients into your garden!
it will indeed..
Hoping all people and animals are safe and dry!
so far ann, we are doing fine, the house and barns are still dry and so is the big front pasture 🙂 so far, so good
Obviously flooding not only in Alberta. Calgary and south have flood warnings out. Keep safe and hopefully it won’t flood any further.
HOLEE!! How tall is the fence in that second shot?
Hang in there! Praying for moderate temperatures, no rain and drying winds…
my normal four and half feet tall
Okay, so how high up the fence does the water normally come?
most years the water neve makes it to that fence, the worst year of flooding like this one, no fence was there to compare but it floated in logs as drift wood, so must have been around the sameish
