Lots and lots of thinning and transplanting to be done in the future but right now, I am just happy to see all those little bits of green coming!
coming soon, lots of tomato’s, peppers and ground cherries! and maybe some leeks and lots and lots of strawberries!

Strawberries? D’you start strawberries from seed?
Normally, my ever growing and moving strawberry patch takes care of making me babies but this year, i need more plants then my patch is going to be able to produce as I want to use them on the sides of the one big hugelbed, as well as putting more of them out into the food forest, and as I don’t want to pay ten dollars per three plants, it just makes more sense to grow myself an extra hundred plus plants, but I am also getting 80 alpine baby plants on order as well, the modern plants have to be done on a rotating plan, or they fail after x amount of years where the alpine will just go so much longer!
Raised strawberry beds? Oh yeah, now you’re talking!!
Much as I love spending time in the garden, to me there’s nothing worse than the (back killing) hours spent bending over, and ANY way to avoid that would be awesome!! Not only that, but because the plants would stay drier, they’d be healthier and have less wasted berries too… Love it, LOVE it!
