Man, he sure is a digger – hey, do you think maybe that’s where that expression comes from?
So, after he’s done giving things the once-over, then what?

    • Well, its been a learning curve, but the next thing I was do is go in and rake up the dead materal and put it into the cart and add it to the compost pilea and I like to keep their bathroom area picked up and added into the compost pile, they are so clean when given the chance that they won’t dig around or in their bathroom corner, so you if you want them to root it up, you need to clean it and scatter corn over it to get them going on it.

Then I will feed once more in a scatter way over the soil and let them have another day of digging, then its time to move them to fresh soil to start again, then for me, I will rake once more, if needed do a light double dig if planning deep roots or potato’s etc, if not, its just raked, compost added in, mixed and rows made, and then ready for planting out.. if I know that is going to be a while, it can be done into green crops, or I will lay down heavy mulch and just pull the mulch back to plant in already started plants.

That’s just awesome! SO much better than just tilling under a whack of twitch (etc): and then fighting with it the rest of the summer…
Man, I wish I could have a piggy too):
