I got to head out yesterday and spend most of the day off the farm, in the morning we made homemade laundry soap and in the afternoon, I was teach folks how to make basic cold process soap..
This was my loaf that I made to just show the basic process, it cut perfectly this morning.. I like it..

So beautiful! …I’d take a class like that.
Thank you, I think everyone who was there and made soap or watched and learned, really enjoyed doing so.
I desperately want to learn how to make soap. How did you make it, can you tell us? c
As it happens I am making soap today, so yes, I can go over it step by step with photos for a nice basic 2 plus soap loaf.. I will take the process and the recipe but might not get it up today, I just picked a big bowl of elderberries, that I need to do next and then I need to make 3 batches of the same soap as I need 22 6oz bars of the same soap for a project 🙂
Is it just me, or does it seem that the fruit bushes/trees are extraordinarily LOADED this year?
Very “fancy and frilly” and yet, at the same time, puts me in mind of lovely smokey bacon; )
NOM, NOM!!
And I too would LOVE to learn how to make soap: hands on (in person – from you: )
We just made soap this weekend too! I love homemade soap. We have more to make in the next few weeks. I am interested to see your recipe as we like to try out different types.
