As strange as it might seem, I am in fact having so many things to do today and the weather is so amazing that I am struggling to find and settle on even one thing to write about.. so lets do this the easy way folks..
Happy Earth Day! Yesterday we went off the farm for lunch and the afternoon as my step dad was in ottawa for a working meet, and as he has for a number of years now, he planned his flight home so that we could come in and spend the afternoon with him..( can you believe he is 80 this year?!)
We took in the Musesum of Nature, and much to my amusement and a bit amazement, the first time they ever did a full world view by space was the year I was born.. so here I am with the world the way it looked on the year I and DH was born.. How cool is that?
Its a big, big world and we are honored to have a small part of it call our own at this time, we are stewards of the land that we call home.. I hope everyone still feels a bit of awe, when they really think about this big old world we live in, and I hope that if you have a bit of land or a lot of land that you can yours own, that you take five min today, and go spend time out on it, in it and think what if anything you could do this year that would help make it work better, not just for yourself but on a much bigger scale?

I know, he looks great for his age, and the great thing about the nature of the displays at that place is that you are to slowly wander, so we just let him set the pace and it was very good, he really liked the water one, DH of course loved the rock one (must take his momma back there sometime, she would just love it), and I liked them all.
I am starting to get those spring sun highlights happening in my hair already, by the end of the may, it will have red and gold streak in it..
Wow your SD looks great for 80! Would never have guessed. Its a school day for us and so we are looking at a science theme. Monkey is currently out in the yard seeing if he can find anything on the ground other than the dog that is alive.
Let me know what Monkey found! Did you lift a log, bet that the salamanders are coming out, did you lift up and roll rocks, bet there was some bugs under there, the pretty little red ones are out here so far, and if you turn the soil, the worms and dewworms are out in force.. the one big found one and went in circles trying to keep the other piggy from stealing some of that nummy 8 inch worm LOL
